Staff Eating for Free at Restaurants?

It is surprising how many restaurant entries are on these credit cards given to Park District employees. Are taxpayers O.K. with footing the bill for lots of free meals for Park District employees? Employee credit cards are charged for everything from catering expenses to fine dining to fast food – are these for Park District business-related events, or for individual meals?

Understandably, some charges may be for catered events or meetings, but the frequency and broad choice of restaurants cause one to question. Please keep in mind, below are just a few examples. There are so many more charges month after month, across employees.
