Trip to Atlanta, Georgia for $19,330

Oak Brook Park District Commissioners and Staff took a trip to Atlanta, Georgia, to attend a conference in October 2024.

Commissioner President Sharon Knitter, Commissioner Lara Suleiman, and Commissioner Ivana Kelley attended. Cost to taxpayers: $5,708.

Seven Park District Staff personnel also attended. Cost to taxpayers: $13,622.

Total Cost for ten people to go on the Atlanta, Georgia trip is: $19,330.

 

Commissioner President Sharon Knitter, Commissioner Lara Suleiman and Commissioner Ivana Kelley with seven Park District staff go out to lunch at Cuts Steakhouse in Atlanta, Georgia. The total bill was $446.91. The per person cost was $44.69.

Per Park District policy, the maximum reimbursable rate for lunch is $25 a person. A download link to the travel meal reimbursement policy is below. All this is charged to and paid for by the Oak Brook Park District, our tax dollars.
