Park District Executive Director’s Maximum Term Employment Contract Renewal

Unfortunately, the Oak Brook Park District Board has chosen to continue to disrespect Oak Brook Park District residents and taxpayers.  At the latest Park District Board meeting on April 21, 2025 (i.e., the first board meeting after the Oak Brook Park District election), the PD Board passed a three-year extension on Executive Director Laure Kosey’s employment contract, which is the HIGHEST MAXIMUM term extension possible – all done during this lame duck session.

Furthermore, the Park District Board proves their lack of transparency during the meeting by having zero discussion, zero debate and zero analysis of the contract, and just ramming it through with a vote. The newly extended contract also gives Executive Director Laure Kosey a HIGHER base salary than what I presented during the campaign.

The Park District Board has sent a clear message to Oak Brook Park District voters.  They do not care about what you think or what you voted for.

I, Tina Chan, will continue to stand up for Oak Brook Park District residents and taxpayers.  Please attend my swearing in ceremony on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 6:30pm, which will be held at the Oak Brook Park District.
