Oak Brook Park District Destroys Audio

Residents have been asking the Oak Brook Park District to video tape and record the public board meetings for a long time. In response, the Park District refuses to videotape. Not only that, the Park District Board states that they do not record. See the evidence in this video:

I recently discovered that the Oak Brook Park District actually audio records the board meetings, and they do not announce it.  Instead, when a resident by right under the law, records the meeting, the Park District Board and staff use intimidation tactics to stop the resident. I have video evidence of this since it happened to me.

Not only does the Park District record the audio, but also they destroy the audio, and do not voluntarily release it to the public. I tried to FOIA the audio files, but was denied.  See the proof through my FOIA request to the Park District.

I was not able to obtain the audio records because they were destroyed.
